  • In a small bowl, combine the warm water with the dry yeast. Stir gently to dissolve the yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Whisk them together to distribute the salt evenly.
  • Create a well in the center of the flour mixture. Pour in the yeast mixture along with the olive oil. Mix the ingredients until they form a rough dough.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
