Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed onion and green bell pepper with the ground meat, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together until well combined.
Grease a loaf pan with olive oil to prevent sticking. Transfer half the meat mixture into the loaf pan, pressing it down evenly.
Layer 3 slices of cheese on top. Follow with the rest of the meat mixture. Top with the rest of the cheese.
Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and carefully drain any excess grease from the pan.
Garnish if desired with more diced bell peppers.
Slice the Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf into individual portions and serve warm.
