Onion Beef Fried Rice Directions:

  • Prepare all ingredients: slice onions and green onions, mince garlic, and beat eggs in a small bowl.

  • If desired, marinate the beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and ½ teaspoon sesame oil for 10–15 minutes.

  • If using eggs:

    • Heat ½ tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble quickly until just set. Remove from the wok and set aside.

  • Add the remaining ½ tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok.

  • Add sliced onions and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft and lightly caramelized.

  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Push onions to one side of the wok and add sliced beef in a single layer.

  • Sear beef for 1–2 minutes per side until browned, then mix with onions and cook until just cooked through.
