Low-Point Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy Directions:

  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the whole wheat flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for the breading mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk.
  • Dredge each cube steak in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and back in the flour mixture to coat well. Set the steaks aside on a wire rack.
  • Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high. Fry the steaks in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Set aside and cover with foil to keep warm.
