Greek Chicken Meatballs Directions

Oven Directions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, feta or Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, lemon zest, garlic, salt, onion powder, oregano, dill, and fresh parsley.
  • Mix all together using your hands.
  • Gently form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, about 1 Tbsp each.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops of the meatballs with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until they are lightly browned.

Air Fryer Directions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, feta or fat-free feta cheese, lemon zest, garlic, salt, onion powder, oregano, dill, and fresh parsley.

  • Mix all together using your hands.

  • Gently form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, about 1 Tbsp each.

  • Place them on a prepared air fryer tray or basket and spray with cooking spray.

  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes, or until they are lightly browned.

  • Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki sauce: In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients (yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and seasoning).

  • Garnish meatballs with fresh parsley and serve with tzatziki sauce.
