Classic Southern Fried Pork Chops Directions:

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
In another shallow dish, whisk together the beaten eggs and milk to create an egg wash.

Dip each pork chop into the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated on all sides. Shake off any excess flour.
Next, dip the floured pork chop into the egg wash, coating it thoroughly.
Finally, dip the pork chop back into the seasoned flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere the flour mixture to the surface of the pork chop. Repeat with the remaining pork chops.

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
Carefully place the coated pork chops into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. You may need to fry the pork chops in batches, depending on the size of your skillet.
Fry the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium doneness.
Once cooked, transfer the fried pork chops to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
