  • Line the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang on the sides for easy lifting later.
  • Melt the Chocolate: Place 1 cup of dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 60 seconds, stirring after 30 seconds. Microwave an additional 10-15 seconds if needed. Stir in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional) for a creamier texture.
  • Melt the Peanut Butter: In a separate bowl, microwave 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter for 60 seconds until smooth. Stir well.
  • Combine Ingredients: Mix the melted peanut butter with the melted chocolate until fully combined.
  • Add the Peanuts: Stir 1 cup of crushed peanuts into the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. For added sweetness, stir in 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (optional).
  • Pour and Set: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle any remaining crushed peanuts on top and press them down gently.
  • Chill and Cut: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until fully set. Once set, lift the treats out using the parchment paper and cut into squares or bars.
