Directions:
Remove the crust from the bread pieces, spread the butter on one side of each slice and cut the slices in half diagonally to form triangles.
Place a layer of bread slices, buttered side up, in a well-greased 9×9 baking dish.
Sprinkle the bread layer with half of the raisins and cinnamon.
Place the second layer of bread on top of the first and sprinkle with the remaining raisins and cinnamon.
Heat the milk and cream in a saucepan, but do not let it boil. Mix
eggs and sugar in a bowl.
Slowly add some of the hot milk mixture to the egg mixture into the bowl and stir until well combined.
Once the egg mixture has cooled, remove it from the heat and add it to the milk mixture in the pot.
Pour the pudding mixture over the bread in the pan and let it rest for 30 minutes.
