Bok Choy with Garlic Sauce Directions:

  • Rinse the bok choy thoroughly and slice them in half lengthwise. Pat them dry to remove excess water.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using) with water until smooth.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the bok choy to the skillet, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the stems begin to soften.
  • Pour the garlic sauce mixture over the bok choy and toss to coat evenly.
  • Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bok choy is tender and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro or green onions. Serve warm as a side dish or over steamed rice for a simple, healthy meal!
