Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Recipe

Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Ingredients:

4 boneless pork chops

1 can (10.5 oz) reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)

1 cup shredded reduced-fat Swiss cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil spray

Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Directions:

Heat the olive oil spray in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then brown them on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

In the slow cooker, combine the reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, shredded Swiss cheese, onion, garlic, and dried thyme. Stir to mix well.

Place the browned pork chops into the slow cooker, submerging them in the sauce.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork chops are tender and cooked through.

Before serving, give the sauce a good stir and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
